Oh yea, its on the way...Favre trade!
Sounds like a summer blockbuster movie, there are talks that the Packers have all but agreed to trade #4 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With Jeff Garcia injured, Chris Simms release and the other 3 QB's on the Buccs, one more wouldn't hurt. And none of the other guys on the team has the last name Favre.
The NFL Network has said that the Jets are still a player with a slim chance of hope but this deal is just about done. Now could Tampa Bay use this a trade bait right away? Imagine they acquire Favre today and then trade him to ...oh lets say the VIKINGS! and spite the Packers. The odds of that happening are not great but boy would that be interesting.
Jeff Garcia has spoken out on this situation saying he is the starter and if he isn't they better tell him soon and sit him out. Well sorry Jeff, #4 does what he wants...its unfortunate but hey thats the NFL.
More info coming as I hear about it, but the deal is supposedly in the works right now and the trade could be official as early as TODAY.
