Dynomite Decision, Detroit!

Reports are out that say the Detroit Lions have finally severed ties with the anchor holding down the franchise named Matt Millen.

Millen has been the target of venom for years now from fans all over Detroit. "Fire Millen" signs and chants were heard everywhere, football, basketball, baseball and even hockey games. When all else fails just chant "fire Millen", can't get the crowd into the game, put that up on the jumbotron and see how quickly you have 40,000 fans on their feet chanting in unison.

It has been said that Millen was one of the worst drafting GM's in the NFL. Year after Year all he would do with his first round pick was draft wide receivers. And besides Calvin Johnson every single wide out he has drafted has been a bust. (I.E - Mike Williams, USC)

The funny thing about the timing of this is this is coming 2 days after Bill Ford Jr., the son of team owner William Clay Ford, publicly said he would have fired Millen if he had the authority to do so. Looks like someone got some power all of a sudden.

Just how bad have the Lions been under Millen? The Lions are 31-84 under Millen and have not been to the Playoffs since he has been with the team.

I'm sure the Detroit fans will be having one massive party in the streets...or riot. But a good one.

The Matt Millen ERA is over.
