Lane Kiffin Fired, About Time!

The dud of a coach that was Lane Kiffin has finally been fired. Al Davis brought the axe down today and has put Tom Cable, the defensive coordinator in charge.

Everyone knew this was going to happen and with :14 seconds left in the meltdown on Sunday I said, Lane Kiffin has 14 seconds left untill he is fired.

"I reached a point where I felt that the whole staff were fractionalized, that the best thing to do to get this thing back was to make a change," Davis said during a lengthy news conference. "It hurts because I picked the guy. I picked the wrong guy."

Bold words coming from the ageless wonder, owner Al Davis. Stating that he chose the wrong guy is a huge slap in the face of Kiffin but hey when you go 5-15 in your stay, you sir, were the wrong guy.

The new coach Cable had a few words to say as well. "This is in many ways a strange day," Cable said. "I have a friend who lost a job. That's difficult in this business but, as we know, this is a business. It is time for us to move forward and to put the past behind us. ... We have a good coaching staff here and a good football team here."

Now its time to see if Cable can put up a better winning percentage than .250
