Jason Terry: Dont Sleep On The Mavericks

Ok I will just come out and say it, I am a Dallas Mavericks fan. And contrary to others belief the Dallas Mavericks have been rather disappointing and have cause much heart ache in my life. From the 2006 finals which they should have won but D-Wade got all the phantom calls in the world, and then the first round exits in 07 against the Warriors and 08 against the Hornets.

This team is still led by former MVP Dirk Nowitzki along with Jason Kidd, and a rowdy off seasoned Josh Howard.Jason Terry is another veteran leader who likes coming off the bench and young studs like Brandon Bass will play key rolls this year under new coach Rick Carlisle.

Many critiques are pushing the Mavs to the bottom of the Western Conference based on previous season performances. It's unfortunate because now the Mavs will have to work to gain that respect back from when they were a 60 win team. Are the Mavs officially under the radar?

Terry is warning people not to sleep on the team this season.

"I can see that they’re doubting us and it’s been a long time since we’ve had that doubt about this team and this organization," said Terry.

"So I think guys are going to be ready and teams are going to come in kind of like, 'Oh yeah, we ran through the Mavericks last year, they’re the same old team,' but it’s going to be a big shock to them."
