What's Going On In The NFL After Week 6

Well the Dallas Cowboys are a mess. After their overtime loss to the Cardinals this week they got a slew of bad news. Tony Romo is out at least four weeks with a broken pinkie. Felix Jones is out two to four weeks. Adam "Pacman" Jones has been suspended four games for his incident last week. So what does Jerry Jones do? He trades a first, third and sixth round pick to the Detroit Lions for star wide reciever Roy Williams. Williams is scheduled to pracitce tomorrow and play this Sunday.

Coming into week six there were two undefeated teams; the Tennessee Titans and the New York Giants. The Titans had a bye so the Giants perfect record was on the line on Monday Night Football. Well this was a game that goes 100% to the Browns and the O-Line. Derek Anderson looked like a stud throwing for over 300 yards and a couple touchdowns with no turnovers. Braylon Edwards finally looked like a pro bowl wide out catching five passes for 154 yards and touchdown. The Giants defense was flat, the defensive line couldnt even get close to Anderson and in return Eli Manning threw three interceptions and the Giants lost 35-14.

The upset of the week came at the expense of the Washington Redskins. The Rams and new coach Jim Hasslett beat the Skins with a game winning field goal for their first win of the season, 19-17. The other team in the NFC East the Philadelphia Eagles played well and trounced the San Francisco 49ers 40-26. Another team that was winless coming into the week was the Houston Texans. They too got off the losers tree and won on a game winning QB draw with less than 15 seconds left in the game. The Texans can thank Andre Johnson for having a monster game with over 170 yards and a touchdown. The Texans beat the Dolphins 29-28.

The Falcons and Vikings were also last second winners. A Jason Elam feild goal from 48 yards away sealed it for the Falcons and a Ryan Longwell field goal for the Vikings gave them the W. For the Falcons they can attribute their win to two things. Matt Ryan and his progression as an NFL quarter back and the stupidity of the Bears. With 11 seconds left on the clock and the Bears ahead by 1 point all they had to do was kick it deep stop the return and play prevent defense for a hail mary. Instead the Bears squib kicked it and it was returned 10 yards to about the Falcons 50. With 7 seconds left on the clock Ryan threw an out route to the side line to Michael Jenkins for 28 yards to set up the game winning field goal with two seconds on the clock. DUMB MOVE CHICAGO.

The Colts and Peyton Manning got back to old form as Peyton threw for three touchdowns, two to Marvin Harrison and another to Reggie Wayne. The Colts beat the mighty Ravens defense 31-3. The Tampa Bay Bucs took care of the hot Panthers as Jake Delhomme threw three interceptions and no touchdowns as teh Bucs cruided to a 27-3 victory. The New York Brett's beat the Bengals 26-14. Thanks to Thomas Jones who had his best game as a Jet scoring three touchdowns. The Bengals are the only winless team left in the NFL.

So in sumation, the Tennessee Titans are still undefeated, The Giants defense didnt show up this week, The Colts and Chargers are looking like they are on the right track back to the top. Atlanta seems to know what they have in Matt Ryan and might make a playoff run. The Cowboys are desperate and even though they just brought in Roy Williams they will now have Brad Johnson throwing to him for four weeks. Oh and T.O is still there and now have to share the ball.
